Silent, foreboding, mysterious It sits in the ever-dark forest Past elegance has faded to dust It¡¦s painful history remains undiscovered Only the inhabitants know of it Empty, lonely, quiet The halls are covered by webs No light exists here Windows remain boarded, as if a disguise Furniture is broken and covered A thick dust covers all Fireplaces are blocked by bats Room by room, this place has suffered much Tragedy¡¦s presence is everywhere Sorrow is saturated in the walls and floors The library contains mouldy books The kitchen rusty pots and knives The stairs are broken and missing Whatever befell this place remains secret Closed to the world, it wallows in grief Silent, foreboding, mysterious Am undecided with this piece.... |

hey...this was quite a tour. If you are undecided with this piece? You shouldn't be....but I always wonder, where would I go with this, and I think I would find a way to tie the "house" metaphor more neatly with the emotional theme that you strive for. You are an excellent writer, m'friend. Enjoyed this much! |
