somebody's dungeon

Just on the other side of calm
where screams fill the day
I'm trapped in a cage alone
screaming to ease the pain.
Pulling at the darkness
wrapping it around the horror
enclosing the monsters within
then back to the corner
to weep for the loss
of a fantasy gone awry
in the dark, alone,
abandoned, I cry.
