(PAST) The words that you say Sound so sweet The things that you do Are done gracefully. The time that you spare Is thanks graciously. (PRESENT) The words from your mouth Could burn an ocean The things that you do Could stop a stampede. The time that you spare Isn’t even there I don’t even know you anymore. You used to love me Used to care. But I guess Nothing lasts A n y m o r e Anymore A n y m o r e I can’t think Of how we used to be It hurts me So much emotionally To know That you broke Everything we had And all we could have made And it affects you in no way. i like the repeating of anymore with the spaces... the rhythm there reads with this cool beat in my head... then i read the whole poem again with that beat. enjoyed this. it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown |
