Memories brush past my skin,
and I devolpe a rash.
I try not to pay any attention,
but these hopes and dreams bring up the past.

And I try to turn around,
move my position so I can't feel.
I try to turn up the music,
and pretend that I'm not real.

But no matter what I do-
I can't run away.
Because memories are in my mind,
and theyre always going to stay.

And there are times when I can feel you,
and my hands start to shake.
I break down and cry,
at words that come too late.

There's no way to escape-
no matter how hard I try.
And you look at me, bewildered,
resisting the urge to try.
