In darkness
I sit awaiting nothing,
To go on,
With a calm,
Silently just accepting,
No star shine
Or moon shine,
Without three fingers of gin,
Without food,
Without mood,
Care not where I am or been,
I’m just here,
Soullessly and without cheer.

Gloom

sighing...
trying to reach out...
if you want, I am here
if not, know I care.
I have been there before
as have many others

love you

yea, what she said, cheer up.  I've been where you are and took it to the extreme; I ended up in facilities across the state and on so much medication I didn't know what to do with myself, along with the hellish fact that I ruined my body by overdosing so many times... I have permanent scares on my writsts. It isn't worth it.  It's taken me 5 years to realize that you need to live and love as much as you can... I almost stripped my own life away, I tried to rob my future. Look on the better side of things and if it seems there is no better and brighter side, look harder... What dosen't kill you can only make you stronger....

Jessica speaks the words of truth.  Cheer up Gloom.  This poem was great!  You have a way of making your poems short, but getting the point across in a very strong manner.  Good job.

Thank you, Nakdthoughts,
For you kind words and gentle thoughts.

Thank you, Neala,
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, Jessica,
Been there done that already, a couple of times,
Just don’t get into self mutilation, I don’t believe in suicide,
That’s for the weak.
You think in a fallacy there is no bright side,
All sides are equally dark.
But I appreciate to concern in your words.

Thank you, Ladypeach1,
Glad you liked my brief emotional poem.

A world without gloom, wouldn't be a world at all. In order to be truely happy, you must first realize what happiness is Great Poem!

Let nature guide your soul, and the rest will fall into place.
