~~6 month anniversary~~

Let Freedom Ring!
(Sept.11th 2001)

The headlines read today,
America under attack.
Pentagon & World Trade gone,
New York covered in black.
This really did scare me,
& to the ground my heart dropped.
I've always thought of the U.S. as invincible,
& even with this, we won't be stopped.
It's times like this,
I'm thankful to be alive,
but then feel a little selfish,
because of those who did not survive.
9-11 was the day,
& that's who got the call.
Our whole nation pulls together,
we'll rise higher than we fall.
We will hold on to it together,
so many have fought to be free.
You can go on & celebrate,
but you can't take that away from me.
Many lives are lost,
but America's still strong.
You thought you could bring us down,
but you were very wrong.
For each of us are connected,
we all have heart & pride.
This is OUR country,
& forever we'll stand by her side!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA & ALL LIVES LOST!!!
Our Colors Will Never Run!!!

ELMO

Hello Elmo

This was such a stunning dedication to all the lives lost on that unforgettable September day.  Although our countries are so far apart we still felt your pain and embraced you in your grief and still do to this day.  Your words were so very strong and uplifting.

Take care......Sue

Hi there, and I too am your "neighbour" and this hit us hard up here too, and I also lost friends in New York to the disaster.  You know we have forgotten lots of dates in history over the years, but this is one day I think the entire world will never forget, and always feel the sadness and loss.  This was really an extremely well done piece.

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.

Wonderful!  I felt the patriotic stirrings and I'm Canadian!  good job.

Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul.

Thanx Mysteria & sorry about your loss, fortunatly I didn't lose anyone close to me to this disaster--Also thank you Titus & Baroni for the replys, I think this has affected all of us in some way, even if it just made us a little more thankful for what we have & taught us that it can all be taken away at any given second!
