TO LOVE

Like spiders scuttling in the dark
away from light they hide their hearts.
They will not hear, they will not see
the love inside the skin of me.

My music into silence flows
upon the smile within my soul.
Together to the rivers end
as one I bid farewell, my friend.

Who will find the treasure chest
when sunken in the sea of death -
a relic of a mother’s heart
gone, forgotten, lost in past?

Alive I’m buried in this time
a speck of dust, a wasted life,
and yet, and yet, I know I’ll be
the bearer of God’s golden key.

Arise again I will someday,
someday when they decide to pray,
and there I’ll be reminding them
I am love!  To love, Amen!
