SCARS

I have loved and I have lost.
To live in this world there is a cost.

I give my heart out to be broken.
I have great dreams only to be awoken.

I ride through storms and crest the waves
Only to know I will never be saved.

I live in the dark and search for the light,
Never to rid myself of my plight

I look for the stars in the night skies.
I look for truth but I only find lies.

I try to remember to believe in good,
But I cannot forget where I have stood.

Time may heal some of my pains
But my heart will never lose its stains.

Things will become easier. I know they will.
But some scars will never heal.

"What makes letting go hard isn't losing what you had, but losing the dream of what could have been."

The scars are there to remind us of the lessons learned, but only time can dull the pain! I enjoyed this, take care!

Thanks Eagle. I just wish Time didn't take so long.
