WHERE I’M AT

I cry in fear my need of you will set my heart in stone
and sink me to the bottom of sea without a shore
where currents swift with hungry jaws will suck upon my breath
and traces of the all of me will never more be found.

What sea exists that cruelly twists my destiny in knots
and halts the flow of love’s delight while grinning at my loss
if not the sea reality performing circus tricks
and acting like a jester juggling with my mental waves.

But there you are – that’s it!  A disease called “where I’m at”
which plants me in the ground like a tree forever bound
in earthly realms of loveless scripts without a casting role
for time and then more time until in sea I drown.

Yet I wish to drown if in death I share your crown
for imposters stalk and hound my newly found rebirth.
They prey upon my innocence and my naiveté
for the image of my form says I’ve done it all before.

Many times I have lain on beds of sexual needs
now no more for only you have shown me how it feels!!

A duty, an honour, a responsibilty, a privildege, a gift.
I to did undervalue it,
sold it cheaply,
not any more.
I enjoyed the read.

Thanks so much for reading.  When we find out how right something can be it's hard to settle for less!
