The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-10-30 12:21 PM

On broken wings, I try to fly
with heavy heart, awash with sighs
This final time he said goodbye
and still I'm left to wonder why

My tears fall vainly round his feet
he wants to wrap it up, discrete
I'm tired of this hearts' pained beat
again his victim of deceit

How did I fail to understand
he doesn't want to be my man
just someone there at his command-
Alone, once more, it seems I stand.

Sad words from such a lovely face in your picture...
Remember though, at times solitude can be ones best friend
making you realize things never thought in the end.

It is a struggle to mend our broken wings,
but it is more disheartening to think
we may never fly that high again.

I hope someday you will.

I applaud this piece, and feel your pain.  Brighter days are ahead. (I know)

I'm tired of this heart's pained beat... sad... yet provocative.  I hope you are not contemplating what that implies, for it would be such a tragedy...  sometimes, sorrow strikes us when we least expect it.

Such sadness....  You tranlate it well.  Solitude indeed can heal, but so can the warmth of another.  But as hard as we might try to feel better, such scars do not heal completely, but a person can cover the scar and move on to another moonlight.

We are born into this world alone, and we will die alone.  It is what we do between those times that matters.  This is where we leave our mark.
