i have waged war
with a heart so cold
i had waged war inside
myself
i have lost the will to war
i can't cause tonight
oh the question
will i ever write again
as she sings to me
i don't think so
as she sings to me
i think so
as i learn the tastes
i am
as i re-learn her grace
i am
am i a rock, or just another falling off
excuse me please
i managed to grab hold
desperado dust of stars
and we wait
so many don't know
so many haven't heard
I whine too close to the heart
I have a vocal test
I am so far regardless
you've gotten authors
you've gotten trees
you' gotten no mention
are we really here
guess i dream about that rock
have you heard
she wants us back
have we heard
your last is just beginning
have we heard

I found that as I was reading further into the poem, I was racing to the end... it flowed along so perfectly. I re-read it... just to make sure I grasped its meaning. Terrific!
