She stares at the hole in the wall,
and wonders why he did it.
She shakes her head in disbelief,
and asks him why he hit it.
He cannot give an answer yet,
his anger is still too hot.
They both stand still, afraid to speak.
The silence is all they've got
to separate the fist
from the face.
She backs away slowly, and
he stares at the hole in the wall,
and wonders why he did it.

I know this feeling. . .

well done. . .

Thank you. It's sad to say, but it was from a past personal experience. The hole was never patched, and neither was the relationship.

Hey there, Elmo! Sorry you are familiar with this type of emotional bonding. I never found a positive way to deal with it except to leave.

MidniteSun~
Better the wall than you !
I hear it never gets better ... and usually worse.
Glad you got out of it !

Yes, Marge...it's better. I was the wall once already, and you are right, it never gets better. A fast retreat is the only answer.
