Where is your God A handful of memories A ghost in the air If you truly seek God You’ll find he’s not there Where is your God You speak of his glory Benevolent and true But when needed the most God’s not there for you Where is your God With sadness and anger In misery you drown Try as you might But God can’t be found Where is your God You’re wasting your time I’ve searched through the years God’s but a business That preys on your fears Where is your God You look at a world That breeds only hate But God can be found In your collection plate Where is your God You think to yourself As you step on the throttle Where you can find God Is at the bottom of a bottle Where is your God As you grip the wheel tightly You take your last breath For God will not be there While you speed to your death G. I believe the idea is to get acquainted with God before it comes to this...James |

coming from someone who deeply dislikes god, the church and the images they put forth i really liked this. and i am glad that someone else also does not agree with what god and religion has become today. |

I like this--I hate organized religion--I believe God comes from within u--whatever u believe in--it shapes your morals--what u feel is right or wrong--it's you conscious, your beliefs, everything--but anyway this what a great expression! LOVE ELMO |

Faith in God or the powers that be, can be personalised for yourself. I do believe in God, so I really can't comment much on this one. Only to say I hope you find your peace and faith in life again soon.... Isis *The greatest warrior is one that does not need to fight* ~Isis~ |

Thank you all for your comments. I think elmo said it the best, god is within us. I do believe in god for he is an answer for questions which have no answer. Like, where did the universe come from. But I don't believe in religion. There are so many different religions in the world today, but the one common dedominator is "god". The problem is they use fear tactics to get all the money out of you as they can. And every extreemly religious person I have ever met was a hipocrit. The "good book" says that one must share with one's brother and treat them as you would have them treat you. But what I have found is that they are all the most selfish, judgemental, back stabbing, using people I have ever met. So if that's their way of living right "in god's eyes", I'll have nothing to do with it. Thank you all again. Where is my God, Everywhere you look, He's not just in a holy book, My God is everywhere, Though some may doubt the mighty one, It's clear to see, I make no plea, Just to say it's not a play, Some would say how can God let these things happen, look again, it's you my friend, until the word turns from the evil, which they seek and turn to God, It will not change, Though you may think I've gone insane, I tell you truth. He is the Great I am. [This message has been edited by Rosebud1229 (edited 08-29-2001).] |

Hmmmm, great morning read with my coffee. Where is my "god"...I too am one who believes not it this so called god and your opinions of ones who claim to live in his eyes are perfectly understood and agreed with. To me god and organized religion are nothing more than those that fear that which they do not understand, do as they say not as they do, exist as a hypocrite. Could go on for a long time about your words and ideals but I have babbled enough... thank you for waking my mind this morning... Until...ali "There is an alter ego which dwells within every soul." Well, I knew this would ruffle some feathers. But I glad to see that others agree with me. Needless to say, I was rather pissed off when I wrote this. I thank you all again. G Regret not that which you have done, |
