A remembrance so vivid True then blue I skip down a path filled with the dew Remembering you I close my now tears from my brow To venture on that path once knew I look back to when how sweet things Could of been? The time of no worry no sense of hurry Climbing walls for fun when I wouldn't walk Always wanted to run My feet two steps ahead of my heart so light A time I feared no feeling of fright Nothing to hide from in my innocence It did not matter if life made no sense! My skies were blue with sun so bright Nothing could stop my visions sight Then came the storm it blew and blew Tormented me sorrow I knew The journey so long so weary No longer strong muddied my shoes Seduced my blues I wallered in the mud and let ME drown Swallowed into a dismal frown I tried to fight my seemingly forced plight Clouds so dark and obscure what a cold haunted tour Where to go? my feelings to show? No one could help me from this storm to be free Then I realized the silt of reality was not the end It was indeed my friend! so I stopped wondering who And shined my own shoes! All I can say is "WOW". That was deep! You expressed your feelings so well and while I was reading this, it was like you were right there beside me. That was a really good poem. nice job. I love you LadyPeach1 |
