Rose Petals & Thorns

ROSE PETALS & THORNS

Your love is like a rose,
it's open then it's closed.
Double-sided, intertwining,
slowly dieing & then reviving.
When I think it's dead,
it shows some life again.
Roots are spouting,
no more pouting.
Satin petals caress my skin.
Must be gentle,
delicate petal,
falling apart in my hand.
I've lost it once again!
A thorn is stuck,
blood is drawn,
I have no luck,
no green thumb.
Spinkle some droplets,
to show that I care,
it looks pretty lifeless,
but the seed is still there.
I'll come back tomorrow,
my little flower,
& bring you back,
with all my power!

Elmo ~ Well writen!

I enjoyed this a lot... Such true words. Love can be so gentle then prick you before you know it. You showed this wonderfully in your poem.

Yea Thanx I know this all too well--one week love felt great the next it would kill (with the same guy) It's like a neverending roller coaster & I really want off!! lol
