of Depression

She’s such a dirty girl,
Nothing but a tramp,
Caught in depressions swirl,
Inside reality’s stamp.
With beauty once tempting many,
Lost in abuses of time,
Now suitors there aren’t any.
Her makeup is just grim.
Laughter rings in her ears,
As she lays in dank and damp,
Resigned to all her fears,
She’s nothing but a tramp.
No forgiveness for her being,
Lost in a land where none seeing.

Gloom

Inspired by Pout Princess's poem.

Gloom ~ I can relate to this poem SO much. I had no forgiveness for what I had done in my past. I figured out the hard way that you can't live in tomorrow; if you think you've screwed up just do everything in your power to keep it from happening again. I know it isn't always that easy, you will always do things that you wish you could take back. *thinks of another point* You also aren't always what you feel. You may sometimes think of yourself as a tramp or a slut but others may not think that. Some people have thier own opinions. And others can provoke you to feel this way simply because they want you to be down on yourself cause they are unhappy with their suffocating lives.

Sorry for the ramble - I just had a lot to say about this from first-hand experience. I really liked the poem.

Funny, but I guess interpretation is all relative--I did not read dawn's poem, but this particular piece reminded me so much of barroom days, and the women who were still there alone at closing time. They were lonely, desperate and so sad...Just my take on it, but I did enjoy and continue to read you PG. I find your perspective on topics refreshing.
