What once was,
Has long since fled.
What I really need,
Is just past my grasp.

The darkness looms,
Another gray afternoon.
Wishing to awaken,
Eyes opened, and free.

I now reside here,
In this vacant house.
A gaping hole,
Has replaced my heart.

So here I am,
So sad to me.
Living in this world,
Without you.

Very to-the-point piece. Quite solemn, also.
A good write. Nice to see you posting again, hon.
And keep your head high, if you ever need to talk to me I'm on AIM from time to time.

This is quite sad. I liked it though.....I hope you get better

It's all good. Kind of like a small aspect of something I've been feeling... I'm not really this sad. Kind of an embellishment on something that's happened. Anyway thanks for the replies... and Allen I forgot your IM name... so you'll have to IM me.

Jenn, it is a rather sad poem. I hope things start to look up for you.

It's nice to know that you're actually doing better than what your poems portrays. it seemed very emotional, and it grabed my concern too. I'm glad I saw your reply...Thanks for Sharing
