I feel the presence
Of someone or something here
Within the shadows.
I look to my side
Only to find an angel,
With wings unfolded
As they shelter me
With soft light that shines through their
Breathless, feathered wings.
He whispers to me
In a soft, sweet lulling voice
Trusting I will hear.
I hear the silence
The wind that whispers softly
Is nothing at all.

Nothing.
