Here, the time runs in circles
instead of forward,
at a constant pace
weaving whirlpools
for space
that has nothing to offer,

except maybe a tear
which still clings to the lashes
afraid of leaving,
and that’s all that is here,
and that’s all that’s living.
The rest is ashes.

The hands stir the broth
on the face of the clock,--
in the empty kettle.
The drawback of growth
is its need for matter
which it seems to lack.

Gradually, the time has eaten
all that there was, grew thinner...
And now, it hungers
for the apples of Eden,
and walks among us
seeking its dinner.

I thought this was extremely well done. I loved the ending. Well done.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
