our journeys continue here in the Crystal Catacombs
we have seen many strange and wonderful things
but nothing could have prepared us for him

near the shores of the River of Transcendence
in a place of his own being, is where he exists
not only in this world, but on that other plane as well

he welcomed us to the Catacombs with open arms
speaking in phrases of omnireplication, ever changing
but understood to all of our ears as clear as a song

Welcome brave and worthy travellers to the Crystal Catacombs
this is a place full of many wonderful and amazing sights
the least of which is I, Allan of Riverwood, Keeper of The Crystals

since the beginning of time, I have existed
not only here, but in that other realm as well
balancing the two worlds of light and dark for all eternity

we learned much from The Keeper that day
he shared with us the secrets of the Catacombs
and when we woke the next day, he was gone

but the Crystals remained. . .

Wow Sven, this truly was an amazing piece. I enjoyed this poem VERY much. Great job.

Sir Sven!  Excellent poem, my friend.  I know, it's about me.  So what?  I can see all the neat phrases in here that I just caught, like "omnireplication" and "River of Transcendence."  This is so neat!

I really feel special now!  This brightened my day.

I really have to get off my hiney and finish that series!  I'm going to go and do that now.  Thanks for the inspiration, Sven!

And thanks for the recognition, and the publicity too!

Thanks for the poem!  A real "Keeper" that I'm vainly adding to my library.

Thanks everyone. . .

The Passions Gallery series is a group of poems that I'm writing that are basically "Portraits" of the person that they're written about.

I always try to include the name of the person that I'm writing about (Allan of Riverwood) and some things about them, or about their personality (transcendence, Crystal Catacombs, onmnireplication)

The poems take on all sorts of shapes, haiku, free verse, rhyme, whatever. . .

This is the second series of Gallery Portraits, there are a couple right now in Open #13, and the first series is in Open #10 and #11.

Dopey, thanks. . . I'm glad that you liked it. . . I knew that you would like it. . .

cherish, I don't really think that Allan needs the boost  . . . but, I thought that I'd give him one anyway. . . thanks for reading!!!

acire, don't make me come over there man. . . you have more talent than you give yourself credit for. . . keep it up!!  And thanks for letting me post in this great forum and talk about one of your own. . .

albert, thanks for the words about the poem. . . glad that you liked it. . . but thanks more for your words about acire. . . he's a great guy. . .

Carly, thanks. . . I thought that Allan might need a gentle "push" to finish his series. . . glad that you liked. . .

Allan, I'm really glad that you liked this. . . it's always nice when the subject of the portrait is surprised like you are. . . makes me glad that I could do this for you. . . I've loved reading your work and enjoyed bantering with you in The Alley and everything, you're a great guy and I hope that you'll continue to write and enjoy life. . . the best of luck to you my friend. . . and I know that they all love you here. . . and why not???

Sven, this is a great piece!
I LOVED it.. it's going in my library.
It's neat that you can put something like this together about a person..
Nice work!!
