The night is cold
As a thousand stars hang over my head
Dancing in the night sky
They've forgot the words we've said
But I still remember
The smile that's in your eyes
I can't make myself forget
Those bright blue skies

Try to forget you
But my heart just won't let go
Affection's hard to come by
And even harder to let go

So I pray
Selfish starlight, go away
LORD please
Take this from me

The risk of love
Is that she would walk away from me
The cupids arrow
Still gone deep inside my heart
Some say that love
Was only meant to set us free
But i know better
The starlight always finds me

So I lay down
lay down to sleep
HE turns the page.
Selfish starlight, go away.

Oh boy, that was SOOOO great! Cupid's arrow does touch us all, and we all wish that we could make it go away sometimes. This is a great one, my friend. Keep posting!!

Yeah, I'm with Lovebuggy.  It happens, we all want the stupid nude arrow baby to back off a little at least once in a while.
I did enjoy the poem quite profoundly.  The rhyme scheme was very creative and variable in places, I usually don't like that but it did suit this piece.  I especially like how you had variation in stanza size, it once again made the poem a lot more creative in a sense.
