Alone to my thoughts there is no pain
Yet everything seems to hurt
Self knowledge is what there is to gain
My mind I will assert
The people around are raging aflame
But I’ve not been hurt
The flames are static, stay the same
My change is borne of berth

To be self aware is to accept all other
I acknowledge my own faults
No man shall harm his equal or brother
Violence will come to a halt
The flames cause fear and hate among mothers
The problem not all can vault
None listen when my advice I proffer
It stings like alcohol and salt

I am not understood, I stand farther apart
The results will be everlasting

"Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not." ~RFK

This is an interesting idea.  A very confusing, but interesting idea.

And I did like the idea.

Wow, you wrote a lot of powerful stuff when you were away?  To be honest, I really do like this stuff.     Some of the best work I've seen out of you.

I thought the message within the poem was great, but I did not like the way it was written. The format was not of personal preference......that's ok........i'm not the one who wrote the poem, so it doesn't matter what I think.
Anyhow, I thought you did well on this one....

What this is basically about, is that because of all the time I've spent with myself only, I;ve learned a lot about other people.  I highly recommend solitude with large groups around you, like sitting alone at a table.  Youc an learn a lot.  anyway, just something I wrote one day in study hall....sitting alone at my table.  Which people avoid by the way :-)

i knoe people while livin need 2 witness some solitude but from experiences solitude is a lovely place 2 come by once in a while but 2 stay there shows nothingness of life
