Your emotion is your knife
A fine, width-defining blade
Of what cuts through in your life
From incisions you have made

Your dreams are but your armor
And the hardness of the shell
Has weakened from atrophy
That has caused your hopes to swell

Your love is your mighty steed
Trusted for its noble air
Call it when you're in need
Hope that it will meet you there

Your lance is a ten-foot pole
That you would not touch me with
And your honor, oh my stalwart friend,
Is nothing but a myth
