Were I to identify
by example
the fondest wishes of my life
for all the years remaining
and retroactively the past
no phrase could claim it better
than to say
Waking next to you each morning
Stands out most clearly

no preciseness here
as long as my nose
inhales your sweet scent
if you've arisen first

yet ideally
to open my eyes
to see your arm
thrown across my chest
or your head nestled
in the crook of my neck
fills me with awe
fires as it seems it always has
my passion
and all the protective feelings

Matters not we've not yet brushed
nor that we've schedules unmet
undiminished are my desire for you
you hold me together
you're my glue

Imagining our ease in closeness
those caresses without number
wakening the slumbered host
kisses as hummers take nectar

Thinking of our evolution
naked through 'jamas through naked again
an occasional bit of lace
feathering my face
reawakening the quickened pace

or other sleeping venues where
I'd wake and stare
upon the beach at your sweet features
or your form stretched out
in langorous grace

Your eyes, a measure of swift fire
I've learned to read there your desire
As kisses on your belly place
to watch upon your face a trace
half-opened lids and secret smile
I love going south you so beguile

Four lips pout, pucker cupid's bow
swelling red with rosy glow
my ministrations touch just so
Heaven's not so far away
we then caught in celestial sway
this first meet, I remember still this day

To the top with teeth clinched tight
Mortal sounds all through the night
back to the earth and all's alright
A filet is my favorite dish
but truth be told
you're my fondest wish

I expect to pass through life but once.
If, therefore, there be any kindness
I can show, or any good thing
I can do for any fellow being,
let me do it now
as I shall not pass this way again.

Paula-
No one loves snuggling more than I do - ~S~ thank you

Mistletoe Angel-
a lovely reply - I like to think I'm the lucky one - even if much of this is 'yet to be realized' fantasy

Doreen -
a little imagination a little fantasy - a lot of wishful thinking - here's to more 'going south' - for both of us LOL  Thanks

Ah Bill, some things never change.  I swear sometimes we have thoughts so alike when we write.  I am glad to see your sweet words again dear friend.  *s*
