Embalmed in all I’m feeling
A death that carried through
Yet to find the reasons
That keeps me close to you

It passes like the river
Flows straight to lord knows where
The source of all that shivers
The root of my despair

I’m left with no direction
Just flapping in the wind
Hid low from all detection
On the outside looking in

Loss for words to guide this
I’ll sit and slumber past
The life that I’m now missing
My casket has been cast

The light I now see dimming
My fire hardly burns
Heartbeat to a whimper
The tide has made its turn

And with these words I bid adieu
Tomorrow never came
Remembering the happy few
No one but me to blame
