Canyon bells

Can you hear them on the prairie
just before twilight?
Can you hear the passionless winds
along the plains?
Can you hear them?

Fury bells.
some call them fury bells.
I call them canyon bells,
Echoing existence
from dust and sand.

Freedom bells.
Some call them freedom bells
I call them canyon bells
vibrating choirs at sunset
and whispers before the heat of day.

Canyon bells
ring over charcoal fire
chimes from the restless mind and heart.
I call them canyon bells
liberated from steeples
where dreams became reality.

Where sound gathered touch
from wind to bring the
tones to desert color.

Canyon bells.
the wind carries them,
a thousand strong
resonate your sojourn
into the canyon
there, you hear your voice
see your vision
loose your fury,
stake your freedom
and join in
with the canyon bells.

The wind is every one of these and I think the whole idea of the atmosphere that you are in a way describing is truly dramatic . One of my most favourite things is whatching nature and the sheer brilliance of it, When this is incorporated into poetry, the results are amazing .
Really enjoyed it . Thankyou .

This is fine, but the only thing that bothered me was the "passionless winds"...somehow, "passionate winds" would seem much more appropriate....

but I could view the imagery just fine!

IWriteThePoems~
This had such a spiritual feel to it.
Perhaps that is why it drew me back over and over again -

'Canyon bells.
the wind carries them,
a thousand strong
resonate your sojourn
into the canyon
there, you hear your voice
see your vision'

Oh, I'm sure I've been there.
And it calls me back -

Thank you so very, very much for sharing this.
Welcome to Passions.
