I don't belong here
these clothes
     this place
          this time
was I really born here?
or was I brought into being
       long before this?
surely I must have been
          for I have the memories
          of those that have come before me
those whose lives I have lived for all time
their hearts beat within mine
their minds join with mine
their spirits fill my soul
and I know them
        they are me
they know me
        I am them
do I really belong here?
or I am just lost
           somewhere in time. . .

Wow... u echoed everything I've felt from the time I could think. I never believed I was supposed to be born in the NOW, but rather in the BEFORE. Does that make sense? Anywayz, great write!

Firstly, I must say your chosen title just blew me away...
Secondly, the expression you write in this poem 'somewhere in time' has touched my heart in more ways than one...

Sven love, Oh this is absolutely the best of your best! Truly first class, in fact way beyond that, it is stunningly amazing. I know I wasn't here before, I'm not even sure I'm here now, perhaps that's why I'm so me. Because everything is new, I'm not blase about anything. Well whatever the reason, this is totally completely awesome.
