Your absence a presence almost felt
As I try to do things all by myself

Tears on my pillow before I sleep
Bury the memories, bury them deep!

Don't know if the tears for you or for me
Fragments of dreams, ancient history

Tears on the bedding, tears on the floor
Finding it hard to move out the door

I look at the sky, no answers for me
Rueing the time you let me go free

Wishing and wanting the things I can't do
Hoping and praying to again be with you

Whisper to darkness "I'll give up the fight"
"Just bury me deep, me cover with night"

Oh! then the joy the astounding bliss!
To find you waiting at the ending abyss.

Kethry~
You had me caught in sorrow's emotion -
and then the beautiful ending.
Well done, hon.

Hi Kethry, I too got caught-up in the weave of emotional heartache at beginning towards middle of poem and yet at the end a rainbow of joyful surprise...
Lovely write sweetie

Thanks poets each and every one
this little poem, gave lots of fun
'twasn't hard to write ...not at all
I called for my muse she came on the run
if you read it again, I don't mean to cause trouble
you may just find the ending is double.
