Soft Soled Slipper Shoes

Soft soled slipper shoes
with puppy dog toes,
slightly pink and satin white,
and a silky nose that glows;
two little feet tucked inside
warm, comfy, hidden from the cold,
three-foot high rabbit p-jays
holding my child inside.
Big blue eyes, soft and shiny,
pixie nose, rosy cheeks,
puckered lips, starting to smile,
sits on my lap holding a book,
come on daddy, read a while.
Held in arms loving and strong,
carried to bed in slumber land
gently placed,  tucked in tight,
loving this child, with all my might
sleep my heart, till the sun shines bright.

And a proud father you must be.
I can see that you treasure the little things that children do and say.
Any time I see a writing on the little ones I just have to reply, because I feel that they are our greatest gift in life.
Nice job here Dad.

I've always been closer to my father than my mother... he also seemed more loving and patient.  It's good to see that you love your child so much.

JWesley~
Delightful memories come to play across your heart.
Thank you for sharing -
gave me a nostalgic remember or two myself.
