This is a poem I have submitted to the main site. I'm not usually one for love poetry, being more of a brooding sort, but my wife brings out the bright side in me. Any comments would be appreciated, thanks!

Thoughts of you sweeten my soul
Like fresh spring flowers in my mind
Your essence washes over me
Till your spirit and mine are twined

Inside my heart I've built a home
Of contented sighs and fragrant air
And I know when my hand cannot find your own
I can always find you there

Like the brush of lips on the nape of my neck
Sends shivers down my spine
So is the sensation of pure elation
Just knowing that you are mine

I can feel you within me, like sun on my skin
only warming from inside
You dance through my dreams twixt the willow trees
that weep in their pride for my bride

Your presence in me brings my mind to peace
Like walking alone on the beach
And you flow through my blood and over my heart
As the syrup from a peach

My every perception is colored by you
You are sewn through the quilt of my life
I'm entranced and enthralled every day anew
You're my love, my heart, my wife.

Welcome

You have done a beautiful job showing how your wife brings the best out in you. These two lines are my favorite.
My every perception is colored by you
You are sewn through the quilt of my life

Thanks for the welcome and comments all. Just don't get the impression I'm actually NICE or anything, heheh.

Welcome to Passions Loki, this was simply beautiful! It just doesn't come from the heart any clearer than this ... you have a very fortunate bride! Hope to read more!

Best wishes,
