He suffers
in unfair predicament
of a certain love
lost
belaboured
beleaguered
knowledge ungathered
affections unclaimed
emotions unfelt
flawed flailing falling
drop by drop
the love-struck Romeo
bleeds.

His heart beats
silently
in an agonisingly depressed
deathbed
laying shattered in
infinite pieces
as the dream of a better life
with a beloved one
escapes leaving a scar
of a stab
in the back
in a sudden reversal of fortune
unceremoniously discarded
like a snake's peeling skin
unwanted
undesired
in the holocaust of his life.

He is pushed
catapulted away to darkness
with a ray of light showing
the way out
as he reads neon signs that lit
only for him
close the door behind your back
and he disappears
into the darkness
of the outside world
down in a hole.

While somewhere else,
a candle breathes its last
and the wise and old claim
it to be lack of oxygen.

If only they knew!
...

Hey friends from the passions' world...
I hope that this one signals my return back into the group of friends I have always desired to be with. Forgive my absence. Work, personal and health problems kept me away.

Cheers,
Regards,
Sudhir.

Sudhir beloved one,
The pages here were blue without you.(I think it was a lack of oxygen) Now that you're back I can breathe again, your poem was a breath of fresh air although I must admit I holding mine until the end.
write on

You have a wonderful way with words, reminds me a bit of a friend of mine from Mumbai. They must grow good poets there! I'm glad you came back, though sorry about the bad times.

Hello my sweet poet of Brillance...
I too hope this can be the begining of seeing your name here on a regular basis...
Powerful aching purge here Sud... my goodness
feel better dear one...
and remember were saving your spot

we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.
