You've Touched Me

You’ve touched my heart
And there’s a child inside
Who doesn’t know
How to say thank you.
'Tis this child your kindness
Reached out to and caressed.
She doesn’t know what to say
When you tell her
Her beauty is more
Than skin deep..

You’ve touched my soul
And there’s a woman inside
Whose never known such
Beauty in written form.
Your words express love,
The kind she’s unfamiliar with,
Words that heal,
Words that forgive.
Words that bless
And kiss every syllable..

You’ve touched my life
And there’s a kindred spirit inside
Of me that has suddenly come alive.
You say I am blessed
With talent from God
And that I have touched you.
You've said my words
Are heartfelt and real.
You've spoken the truth
Because now and for always,
I want you to know,
You've touched me so..

All that one could ask for.
May I say your words "Touched Me"

You acknowledge yourself when you accept a compliment. To be able to accept a compliment and believe it, gives one confidence. When you have the capacity to "touch someone" and I know you do with your words all the time, that is a gift. You my dear lady are gifted, and your words also touch me!

Yes it is good to remember that our words touch someone. Good or bad. Good writing. Joyce

This is such a down to earth open render of love and passion...the best kind the honest willing loyal kind...a really fine work !!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Thank you for all your kind words. There are so many parts within us all that become touched by someone's words.. I loved writing about these three parts in me. Kate

It is truly awesome when our words or actions can touch another's heart when they need it most. It is a great feeling. What we give, we receive tenfold. I loved this!!

PrincessPout~
When someone touches your heart, your soul and your life
they have truly touched the whole of you -
What a blessing.
This is lovely, heartfelt poetry.
