The trip

I remember long ago
In an Islands gallivant
A swimming amoretto
Sporting birthday suit no pants.

Snorkeling a gorgeous reef
Surrounding plants legatee.
Watching exotic motif
Small butterflies of the sea

Fantasies in natural view
Alien to life on shore
Just boggling the mind in hue
A paradise held in store.

For a moment I was free
Back within life’s birthing sack
Circling in infinity
Alive, within its feedback.

Looking into Eden’s cay
Which was, once upon a day?

I have always longed to do that, if only just once. Your poem brings that longing to mind.

once again I will thank you for painting these images in my mind ...
for I can live vicariously thru your words and reflections--of all the things I've never seen.

Everything is so unreal
My mind is in a state of confusion
But I can't deny the way I feel

This describes so well what it must be like to snorkel on a reef. Something I've always wanted to do. Thanks,
