he was a broken man...lost the love of his life
his cherished soul-mate...best friend, wife
she was a free spirit...always waiting for that perfect love
together they were united...by the Lord above

she had three children...two girls and a boy
he with three girls...of his own
though they really aren't children
no in fact...they're pretty much grown

he was feeling defeated...because of a past relationship
hanging on by a thread...to one last single piece of faith
she a hopeless romantic, her eyes always on the sky
together they fell in love...as the days passed on by

a once broken family...reunited at last
when you're having fun...time flies by fast
weeks turned into months...months into a couple years
they've stood by one another...through the laughter and the tears

finally the time came...and they said "i do"
now sunny skies fill their days...no more clouds of blue
a sudden peace has found it's way...a wonderful love
sent from an Angel...who lives high above

She keeps them all safe...as she watches with a smile
Knowing in her own way...she's been with them a little while
Softly she ascends back to heaven...blows them a kiss goodbye
But now tears of happiness...are all that she cries
