The sun still rises
slowly
beautiful soft colors
awakening me
but it's just not the same
as yesterday

If light still shines
and Sol doth rise
how can you and yours
be undone

The moment is all
and one thing
it awaits at last
to know the dawn

You may have evolved, but at least you can see the beautiful colors. Lovely!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

This reminds me of a poem that I am writing...I was thinking the sun and the moon can provide joy and romance for one couple and heartache for another...James

dreamkeeper - I just would like you to know that these six lines touched me very deeply. This is beautiful, with so much meaning. Congratulations on writing this.

"The sun still rises
slowly
beautiful soft colors
awakening me
but it's just not the same
as yesterday"

And the night
closes
showing the stars
shining
but it is also not the same
as yesterday

dreamkeeper, I hope that you didn't mind me writing some of my feelings, under yours.

beautiful...and I, too, was inspired by your words

It's Just Not the Same...

As I think back to the years
of my younger days
When each morning I woke
to the sun
It's just not the same, anymore
in my mind
And sadly I'm two minus one.

Many years, together
has made me the who
that I am today,
mirrored view
Part of me hidden,
the single of old
Shall be brought out
some day in my new.

thank you for the thoughts...{{hugs}}

VAS - Thank you! Every now and then, something decent sneaks out! THANK GOD!

Bill Charles - Thank you so much. I don't mind at all. In fact, I'm quite honored!

JnR4Eva - Thank you. I'm not often able to do that and am thrilled when I can.

NakedThoughts - Thank you so much. I have always so loved your writing, I really appriciate your comment!

James Michael - I just caught that poem you were writing. Very good. We were both on the same track!

Walker - Very true, thank you. It's chosing to be thankful for the sunrises you've had, and know that although they'll never be the same there's still alot of hope for new ones.
A hard lesson to learn.

Lady In White - Thank you! I'm not often able to do that. I love lots and lots of words!

NC - Thank you. I was so thrilled to see you here!

ATelamon - I have precious hope. Thank you.
