A Sense of Joy

She sources me joy, a kind of
Oasis for my thirsty mind.
A resting place of peace and grace
A new dimensions freedoms space.

A rainbow colored bridge of hues
An Eden butterfly in muse.
A pendulum that sweeps in part
The very essence of my art.

It stirs the passing sands of time
It adds its beauty to my rhyme.
It offers drink a thirsty soul
To reach an ending to his goal.

The hand of youth in living strength
A silver chord with endless length.
A blessing in her kindly share
A heart of gold beyond compare.

Oh fleeting flower kiss me now
This ancients sough, this ancient brow.

once again ... "oh my" ...
this poem is Eden ...

seems to me ...
you're sharing some rainbows and butterfly sighs around your self ...
and trust me when I tell you sweet Sy ...
your rhymes have always had beauty ...
and since this poem is so very sweetly intended ...
I will resist the temptation to fuss about the "ancient brow" line *S*
we will write it off to poetic license ...
and not a "senior moment" *L*

Seymour,

This is very, very nice.

I agree with all that JM says, this is lovely!
Except...I am just too curious about 'sough'!
Oh, I guess I could see what the dictionary says. Just a sec...oh, a moaning sound...so this is an 'old groan' ;o}

my dictionary says...
"to make a moaning or sighing sound" ..

Randy dragon moans....
Sy ... sighs ...then so do I
