SOME OF YOU MA REMEMBER THIS POEM, FROM OPEN POETRY #8 A FEW MONTHS AGO, WITH A DIFFERENT TITLE. I'M
RE-POSTING IT WITH A TITLE THAT WOULD SUIT IT A LITTLE BETTER.
----------------------------------------------------
FOR CHRIS **6/30/00** REPRISED **2/10/01**

YOU ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO MAKE ME LAUGH
YOU ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO MAKE ME SMILE
YOU ALWAYS THINK OF ME
WHEN I'M GONE FOR A LITTLE WHILE

THE HOURS WE SPEND ON THE PHONE
THE TIMES WE FOUGHT JUST FOR FUN
THE PRICELESS TIMES YOU SAID YOU LOVE ME
LET ME KNOW THAT YOUR THE ONE

SOME PEOPLE MAY SAY I'M SPRUNG
SOME PEOPLE MAY SAY I'M IN TOO DEEP
BUT BABY YOU CAN HAVE MY HEART
TAKE IT, IT YOURS TO KEEP

NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER... ISAIAH 54:17

Sorry about those replies Dyme....my computer has some kind of internal error on it and I'm trying to get to the bottom of the problem....I can't delete the extra replies either...only the moderators can...but I still like your poem though...take care!

Well said Dyme the heart is right there....sometimes that fighting for fun truly is so much fun....good poem!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
