You take care of you I said
Though, you have power to rise
Those rainbow dreams around your head
Are clouding up your eyes

You see through colored glasses
Rose tinted is their hue
You're much too open hearted
To just take care of you

Your love has been a bubble
A transparent rainbow
But soon you'll be in trouble
If you can't learn to let it go

Take some time to think
Take some time to grieve
For bubbles burst within the sink
And pain does not relieve

I know you'll soar on air
As bubbles often do
Until then you take care
And you look after you

My thoughts will fly to you
You know you've won my heart
When the bubble bursts and you are blue
I'm here, as I was from the start

I'm standing in the sidelines
Waiting for you to see
We won't be making headlines
But I can love eternally

So when the bubble bursts
As it must surely do
I'll comfort, bind up all your hurts
Till you can again take care of you

Your effervescent style
Will see you rise again
Until you see the golden mile
You take care of you my friend

Kethry I hope you don't mind but as I was reading this all I could see was the little guy from the alka-seltzer commercial.

This is beautiful, Kethry... and very poignant.

"I'm standing in the sidelines
Waiting for you to see
We won't be making headlines
But I can love eternally"

This reminds me of the song "You Saved the Best for Last" ... when someone realizes that their dream come true is the friend who's been there for them all along. *S* Well done!

What sweet devotion you show here! I hope your friend realizes what a treasure you are.
