He is There

It was just a dream, surreal, all mine
A love for life, a forever in time
All of him would not come to me
For only parts of him could I see
But nevertheless, he was all to me
This loving man in my reverie

I could feel him stand by me in dream
Or sometimes feel a touch, light as cream
Perhaps his laugh upon the wind
Or I would feel his presence, turn, and then
Be dismayed, it was only another
Never the full of him, never my lover

But now, now, no longer just a dream
No, and he is all that I’ve ever seen
He is all that I have heard on the breeze
And he says he’s mine ~ oh sweet release!
I see all features, and they are so fine
His charming eyes hold steady mine

We have not yet touched, yet I feel his skin
Beneath my fingers, ‘tis dream, ‘tis whim
I feel his lips taking in all of my passions
This coming together has been so long imagined
He is the mate that God hath made for me
And in his sweet loving I have come to be

For I was nothing but a partial shell of living
He has fulfilled me in impassioned giving
And in this sharing of devotion, we are but one
To revel in life, to outshine all suns
Then to earth we fall, in tender delight
And remain entwined throughout our nights

So he is here, no longer a dream, but the man of my within
Come to take me to him, and our eternity to begin.

whew ... such passion ... such longing laced in desire ...
very well defined and emotive piece here Lady...
your inspiration is reverie to read.

When you see thru loves illusion, theres the danger
your perfect lover looks like a perfect fool
you go running off in search of a perfect stranger
