In the stillness
As daylight breaks
An angel takes to flight
Unspoken emmotions
Amongst the clouds
As day turns into night

As the moon comes nigh
And the clouds turn dark
We await the silent dawn
A shattering sound
From within our hearts
As we remember John

Lightning flashes
Our lives all dim
An impression left on our minds
Of Johns sweet face
Watching over us all
Undoing the tie that binds

In memory of John Sizemore

Better to die, and sleep
The never-waking sleep, than linger on
And dare to live when the souls life is gone.

My heart caught in my throat as I read this.  I have known the loss of a loved one - and you have penned the anguish so well.

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.

This is a lovely way to remember your friend...I'm sure he is smiling down on you...

I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

This weave speaks softly to the heart and soul of your friend and sings of his life and the touch he had upon you....beautiful writing!

You can swim in the waves of the weave...without sinking into the mind of the weaver~

I just wanted to say thank you to all who replied to my poem. It makes me smile, knowing that my friends name will live on in my writings. Thank you all.

Trevor,
your friends name will live on in your writing as long as his memory lives in your heart.
