Color Of My Love
By: Noah Eaton

In the middle of the quiet evening, when I am sound-asleep
My dream girl comes to me in the dreaming
I can hear her sing her melodious serenade to me
Oh, how I love her so…

I was sitting in a meadow in the mountains near a lake
In the midst of a lonely and quiet cloudy day
Birdwatching and forming shadows upon the front range
Casting them like fantoccini, showering the valley with immaculate comfort haze

That’s when I start to feel a soothing zephyr touch me in a most lovely way
It wraps around my neck, sweetheart’s scarf has met me today
Silky lucent light shines down on me, and I look up to see
A fare-thee-well Solomons Seal in the sky, painted with my lovers face smiling down at me

She said she could see through my heart, and could see that she was in my heart
And I looked up at the superstar and saw me deep in her heaven eyes
And she started to sing her serenade to me, as I joyfully sung along with her
All the love, all the music in the air, it sweeps me on my feet and I sway with delight and rise

Red, yellow, and blue lights scintillate from the star, overshadowing the gray
Soft, warm rays shine down in front of me, a beautiful colorful smoke erupts before me
It clears out, and standing before me with a bright smile and her hand over her heart
It was her, the love I’ve been yearning for, I felt most alive and merry

She walks up to me gracefully, and I reach out and we hold hands together
And she says,

“In the healing of the blue summer rain,
To the titanic afterglow of the yellow sun,
To the red fire one enlightens to light up the night
That one has seen alone for all this time
Let me share my love with you,
let us paint all the colors together
Together we will see so much more
With our love so pure as gold

With our hands held together, I reach out to embrace my love’s lips
The colors of our hearts begin to bleed together, red, yellow, and blue
Making orange, green, and purple, throughout both of our souls
Which bleed together again, giving birth to every color

Every breath, every sigh, I could see so much more every time
The colors of my love had weaved together with me
I awaken from the phenomenon, and see that the colors had vanished
But I feel great knowing that someday, me and my love will see all these colors…together…forever and ever
