Snowflakes twirling down from murky sky…
Cold pierces the air, and frosty breath is rising high…
Winter seems forever long…
Each year the winds are twice as strong…
I think I have a warmer place in mind…
A place where Mother Nature treats you kind…

Looking out the window seems in vain…
Life is in a frozen state, and that is just a shame…
Close my eyes, I’m on a beach…
Someplace where the snow can’t reach…
Lounging in the tropics of my mind…
A place where Mother Nature treats you kind…

Southern breezes gently blow my hair…
Each day looks the same, with sunny skies and sultry air…
How could I anticipate,
boredom that would be my fate?
Watching seasons change is life’s design…
I think I have a cooler place in mind…
A place where Mother Nature spends her time!

Well Alaska! Of course it's cold there! LOL

Enjoyed this one and I'm going to save it for future reference..when I think it's too hot here in the desert!

Sunnyone...It must be hard to get through the winter when your window is so cold...but I can see you have another place you go..."A place where Mother Nature spends her time!"

Hmmmm, I like it!  I wonder where Mother Nature would go...methinks she would want to experience some of each.

After all, if one didn't have spring, when would one have the fever?  If one didn't experience cold, how would one know s/he was warm.  HOw would one know when to have a picnic and to harvest the pumpkins?

Hi PdV...
Oh.....you wouldn't believe how cold it is up here right now!! There's icicles on the icicles!! Would give anything to be back down in Arizona, soaking up that desert sun!!
(Thank you!!)

Hi Martie...
Yes......if you have a really, really good imagination, you can escape the frigid winters for a temporary getaway!! Thanks Martie!!

Hi VAS...
You got it!! And my personal favorite is, if one didn't know when to have that picnic, one would miss out on all the ants!!  Ha!!
Thank you, my friend......I love your replies!!

Ahhhhh but with all Mother Nature's little helpers flying around, how are you supposed to know which one is really her?  OOppss, I think I have her confused with some guy up north there.  Never mind!!!  Just enjoy all the wonders of her which ever season she sends you and listen to PLENTY of radio!! Loved the write.
