Oh, dear
Sweet Sweet Poet
Alberta Clipper Of Delight
Scalawag that you are in the
glow of the early morning light
Sail on in your anesthesized glory
We will hold steady to the keel of heal
bringing you safely into the harbor of poetry
When you sail home again, my sweet, sweet friend
this port of call will await the hoisting of your sails
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greeting you on the fair tomorrow with boisterous winds
of fair weather blowing, until you are once again in our keep
Stand down sweet Captain, let us now ferry you in
The ship is in good hands and we will not mutiny
*Hugs* and prayers my friend.
I'll keep the porch light on for you !
Love will be the lighthouse beckoning you home !
I've written this and re-written it for so many a bereaved soul... here it is re-written again... Thank you Marge
most dear
Father Spirit from on high bless all those
who keep you on their road of love and tenderness
peace be surely theirs & also all the gentle strangers
who by nature do not smile yes bless the ones who
cannot hold a pen to tell their heavy toils and
heart aches for their trials who dread
thoughts of entering ‘cause
fear of meeting them
please keep them
while on their road
to better things to all
the ones who learn to live
with being second guessed whose
job it is I guess to give more than get bless you
all & keep you with the strength to understand all the
little children with dreams & even the drunken man to all
the weeping who must tomorrow wake all the ones who
answer a letter from a bossy mom bless you all and
keep you with the faith to let it pass to all the
lonely who have trouble over being
last to all of you with heart
aches that remain
I give in Christ
to God
love
for
all you
my precious
friends Amen Amen
Amen
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
after Christian schools and all that Bible
teaching and learning how to pray I thought
I did really well... until one day someone
commented how I should find space
for myself... I still haven’t found
that space... I’m not what
it’s about when I
pray... It’s
you
.
Writing isn't just something I do, it's something I am.
To write of feelings that touch all hearts in some manner is my delight.
This is beautiful, Marge. I am sure that when lucky comes back, the glow of the lights left on for him here will be an altogether enchanting and loving sight.
Not only is it set sail in the open sea of your heart but with a full wind of compassion blowing it onwards in strength and sincerity.  Lovely verse my friend and you already know that I love the shape ones best so we need not go into that.
