Guilty of Love

You told me that I crossed the line
while your eyes penetrated mine
I asked you what I've done wrong
Don't understand what's going on

So you named it all one by one
saying: this is what you've done,
You didn't gave me any change
when you guide me into a dance

Than you wove with magic threads
sweet seduction within my needs
tingly feelings torture my veins
losing breath with yearning sighs

At that moment you took away
with a graceful enchanting sway
my very own precious part
yes...you stole my beating heart

So don't you dare  tell me lies
look at me now straight in the eyes
and tell me are you really guilty dear
about these feelings that appear

And I....I was perplexed what could I do
all these blames were so very true
with innocent eyes I said:" Honey,  I agree,
I am guilty of love in the first degree.

Charisma

with thanks to my poetsista Shawana who challenged me
to write a poem with the line
"guilty of love in the first degree"

that scoundrel!! .... damn!... i hate it when that happens.... men who steal women's hearts and then? they ADMIT it! geesh... *g

seriously, though, this had some anger and true emotion behind it... a powerful piece written straight from the heart.... and i really DO hate it when that happens..... *sigh*..... write it out, girl... that's what i do and it helps

Surely this is only a misdemeanor?  I suggest you should be sentenced to writing more fine poetry!
