close your eyes and shake my hand
don't say the words upon your tongue
through think and thin we've had our fun
but our time is up and this is done
we've had a drink or two in our time
watched movies at night and laughed at the sun
now it's time to say goodbye and move on
through a setting sun into another dawn
friends we are and friends we'll stay
as time goes on and people come and go
the only phrase to say is see you soon
sooner than later we'll be standing on the moon
staring down from the heavenly heights
watching others run around doing what we did
and laugh once more and drink a toast
to all the things we loved the most
so we'll sit there and enjoy the sun
though it's warmth will never reach us
as we sit on clouds as angels do
cause friends forever are me and you

see you soon byers.

a friend should be forever, sometimes they leave (sigh)
