Life is complex
That there is no doubt
There are times of peace and quite
Other times when you'll want to shout

Happy times and sad
As the days of our lives mix together
Thinking we have so much time
That our lives will last forever

Each obstacle we face
We have a decision to make that day
To stand up and fight
Or simply run away

Be strong and reach for our dreams
Or hide and just give in
If you try your best in life
It doesn't matter if you win

Each lesson teaches us something new
We learn something we've never known
Obstacles though ever mounting
Serve as stepping stones

Those stepping stones make us who we are
They shape the person of you and I
If you don't take the time to enjoy life
It surely willl pass you by

There is an old saying
Of what doesn't kill us will make us stronger
I truly believe that with my heart
So I will fight for a little longer

Perhaps the day will come
When there will be stepping stones no more
But an optomist I am from the heart
I'll just choose another door...

***just a little something i've been thinking about...sorta a combination of different "lessons" in life i've learned over the short years I've been around.

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten
the words."

Yes indeed Amy girl!  What a treat this was to read a hopeful poem from you!  Well, I'm an optimist too and I love your message, it's very inspirational.  Call 1-800 Hallmark cause the world needs something like this!   Just wonderful, I really love this.  We all need stepping stones to reach our destiny and to know ourselves better

Take care,

Not only was the message wonderful but the flow of the words carried me through. Great job here!

This is what I've been needing to read in my present mood or state of mind. It doesn't cure it, but it sure does help my thinking process and reassures me. Thanks for the wonderful work!
