Star Children

To write the beauty of the star spangled night
Telling how the sight stirs and uplifts my heart
In sonnet form write of their wondrous light
How I sometime yearn to become of them a part
Their light seems to vary and yet it stays the same
It flickers in the air seemingly to flash in a code
And as I gaze at it I wonder if they play a game
Are the star children playing happily on their road?
Flittering between places that I cannot hope to see
I know it’s just my imagination and they don’t play
They are illuminating the heavens’, as they should be
But sometimes when I look they seem to almost sway
And I pretend to myself that they are children still
And my night with childish laughter they will fill

Margie girl, thank you sweetie, so you like this one, I'm pleased. (But actually I'm more pleased with the graphic than anything else, because you know me and glitter) I do like those stars.
Thank you truly, as always if I'm made to work I can do it, but don't I moan. I'll try not to do that tooooo much
Take care love

Kari dear heart, I didn't find it as hard as I thought except that I kept wanting to switch the lines around. But yes love it was fun, well fun ish   and I still say that I prefer the graphic. But thank you love, now do I get to put my feet up, first day back and all, there might be some work I really have to do.
Take care love as always

Sven dear heart, yes my very first one, and I'm glad it's done. Still at least it was on a subject that I love, at least I have a chance of it coming out. I do like the graphic though it was worth writing just so I could use that.
Thank you very muchly love, but I do think you are just a little biased.

Paula love, don't you dare give me another one. It's got to be put my feet up time love. Well at least cruise through work day. I don't want to have to stretch at all. Yes I know I am a lazy trout.
Love to you dear heart

Marsha,
I'm so glad I wrote my version of the sonnet before I saw this otherwise you'd have had to mop up a thousand of my tears as I cried for this poetic perfection. As it is all I can say is IWIHWT.
write on

Kethry dear heart, now don't exaggerate, you know yours beats mine into a cocked hat. And this is just you trying to make me feel better about mine. Why do you think I put graphics on it, obviously so people would look at the graphics and not the sonnet love. I sat here with Will boyo opened at the sonnets and read several and then wrote it. But if I were you it wouldn't have needed the graphics would it. (I did learn something from working in the theatre, use smoke and magic as much as you can) shhhh and that's the theatre where they have plays, not the theatre in the hospital. Oh I don't know though it might work there too.
Thank you sweetie
