Out Of The Thundering Sun

~*Marge Tindal*~

Out of the thundering sun they come
riding hard across a burnished sky
defeated warriors of the past
ancient are their tears
war cries silenced
before the
sun was
done
<~~>
gone
the day
of the man
of the thundered
sunrise - now questing
resting never in their defeat
spear now grounded - resounding
on the thundered heartbeat of man

I'll add it to my bad list.

Oh Marge, I just love learning about your heritage, what a treat this was!  I just don't know what I would do without your uplifting, creative, historical poetry.  And the hourglass presentation was clever! The ending was sadly true...well expressed

Take care,
Melissa

I loved the imagery of the title alone...
and? I have given my children new names as well...

my son? is called "eats eight eggs"
for his astounding appetite for eggs, sunny side up.

my daughter? is "watersong"
because she simply cannot bathe with singing.

and the boyfriend, I call...smile here,
"late for supper"

and me? I am?
"one pissed witch."

Hugs to ya mom.

All I want for Christmas is another case of frames and a larger wall.  Now you are going to have to stop this my friend or just help me build an addition to the house.  Which is it.  Did I mention that with the addition to the house comes nights of sleeping under the stars?   Beautiful write my friend and of course it goes without saying that I truely loved it but just in case you didn't know.....just watch the skies tonight.

Insect~
Thank you so very much for reading
and enjoying the beauty in this piece.

The artwork of the late Jerome Tiger is greatly admired
by many and is revered for the beauty he depicted.

I was inspired by his stroke of the spirits in this painting.
