I see no Christmas here

Words in variance fence in sone
In unheard subliminal tone.
Ring around the bright of day
Making shadows dark my way.

Dark shadows that dim the light
Turning light back into night.
Leach and bleach my clearest view
Ruing with blue my thoughts of you.

And I find my self constrain
Sitting by the windows pane.
Staring into frosted air
Watching snow flakes in despair.

Yet Christmas lies next door a day
And Santa speeds upon his way.
His sleigh is full of Christmas cheer
But he I fear, will not stop here.

The atmosphere is hostile hot
Severe and snow less on this spot.

Christmas should be a happy time, but unfortunately for some it isn't. Well said.

my goodness Sweet Sy...have you got the holiday blues...
ya know...I just cant get into it this year either...havent really for the last several..
not even with the snow ...
or the obnoxious Christmas music all the stores have been playing since Halloween...
maybe thats the problem..too much Christmas cheer....for too long...
Ba hum-bug
bears get to sleep thru it all..
We could always spike the eggnog and steal the mistletoe...
are ya game stinkie-winkie
*smile*
me

I looked into the sky for my anthem
The words and music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you

I think Janet-with-her-later-'gator-style said it best...

Sy...as usual eloquence flows from your pen.

Can you teach me that technique you have of placing words just so? I do so admire it - unique Syisms...

hugs old friend...and thankyou muchly for the read.

(I'd say merry christmas, but it wouldn't sound right ~smile~)

** Our emotions are not easily 'turned off and on'..we are not machines. Holidays do not always supercede what we feel inside.**

Your poem is well expressed and written with excellence.
