In the ambiance of a heartbeat
a teardrop falls
flowing like a crystal river
down stream

drowning within a pillow
a pillow of satin dreams
only the aura
of teardrops may be seen
how many teardrops
doth linger in the dark
as your hair cascades a pillow
bleeding over satin white

just like when you were a teen
crying over Johnny..
king of the prom
when Judy was the queen
not knowing you would marry
this prom queens dream

an aura of teardrops
frame the softness of your face
under the veil of moonlight
for your guardian angel to see

an exhibit in the
spotlight of the stars
a gallery of broken promises
in the institute of
an affair that once was

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

I'm getting depressed, reading all these sad poems. Well, even though I'm down, I liked this...beautifully descriptive of pain.

Victoria, From the start you set a mood, and then trail your passions across the page to strike our hearts. Nicely done!

I looked into the sky for my anthem
The words and music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you

Victoria....though this may be sad....it's awesome.
You've penned this in a way that drew me right in and made
me feel as if I were the one with the falling tears.
Wonderful
